Early morning game drive before breakfast, after breakfast, you, leave for Lake Naivasha which is the highest Lake in The Rift Valley arriving in good time for lunch. Lake Naivasha is famous in the 1930’s as a staging post for Imperial Airways Flying Boat Services from Durban to London and you can see the Lake sparkling in the sun thousands of feet below. Proceed to the Sopa Lodge for lunch with a visit to the Hell’s Gate National Park past Fishers Tower in the afternoon with optional boat ride. You will visit the Geothermal Power Plant at Ol Karia and the Hot Springs. Hell’s gate is the only park that officially allows transport by walking and bicycling. Today after breakfast you will have an extensively full day game drive into the reserve covered with rolling grasslands dotted with acacia and hazy forested hills and riverline bush where the Mara River and its tributaries meander, Maasai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 1510 sq Kms of this reserve adjoin Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one eco-system. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topis, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. After breakfast, you will continue the journey to the Tanzania border post through Isbania boarder, after boarder formalities, proceed to Serengetti then the journey continues North West across the stunning hilly countryside of the highlands which is filled with wheat and coffee plantations, and then into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you’ll hopefully start spotting game well before you get into the park. Early morning game drive before breakfast, after breakfast you will drive back to Nairobi with an early dinner at the Nairobi Carnivore before airport transfer for your flight back home.
